When women engage a maternity care provider, she wants that person to be skilled and to use that skill when clinical indicated, not for their own convenience.
What women need is the right level of care provided in a way that is acceptable to her.
Achieving the best possible physical, emotional, and psychological outcomes for every woman and child requires society and health systems to support a model of person-centred care which both empowers the woman and enables health personnel to met the woman’s needs
